UltraClear® Laser Skin Rejuvenation in Perth
Smoother, clearer, more radiant skin, with far less downtime than traditional resurfacing lasers.
UltraClear® is an advanced cold fibre laser that gently resurfaces the skin and stimulates deep collagen renewal. At The Laser Doctor, UltraClear treatments are planned and performed by Dr Shasha Alizadeh, focusing on natural-looking rejuvenation that fits your lifestyle and your skin.
Why choose UltraClear® at The Laser Doctor?
UltraClear® is a next-generation laser that uses cold fractional ablative technology to precisely remove tired, damaged surface cells while delivering controlled energy deeper in the skin to trigger collagen and elastin production. The result: smoother texture, improved tone and a fresher, more youthful complexion with significantly less downtime and discomfort than traditional CO2 lasers.
At The Laser Doctor, your treatment is designed and overseen by Dr Shasha Alizadeh, a medical practitioner with a special interest in laser-based skin treatments and tattoo removal. Because we focus solely on lasers and skin, we can create a personalised plan that considers your history, your downtime tolerance and your long-term skin health – not just a single session.
Our clinic offers:
A calm, doctor-led environment
Modern laser platforms, including UltraClear® and TRI-BEAM™
Honest, realistic advice about what will and won’t work for your skin
Your concerns, addressed in one treatment platform
UltraClear® can be tailored to improve a wide range of common skin concerns, including:
Fine lines and deeper wrinkles
Sun damage and uneven skin tone
Age spots and benign pigmentation
Enlarged pores and rough or “crepey” texture
Acne and acne scarring
Early skin laxity, especially around the eyes, cheeks and mouth
Treatments are most commonly performed on the face, but UltraClear can also be used on the neck, décolletage and other areas of the body, particularly to help improve the appearance of scars, where clinically appropriate.
Treatment options to suit your skin – and your schedule
UltraClear® offers different treatment levels, from a light “lunchtime” laser peel to more intensive resurfacing for deeper lines and scars. The exact settings and strength are tailored to your skin at each visit.
UltraClear 3DMIRACL™ – the “lunchtime glow”
Ideal for: early signs of ageing, dullness, uneven tone, enlarged pores
Feel: warm, prickling sensation – usually very well tolerated
Downtime: mild redness for 24–48 hours; most people return to work the next day, although slightly stronger settings can occasionally require one to two days of social downtime
Results: brighter, smoother skin within a few days; can be repeated as part of a maintenance plan
At The Laser Doctor, we generally recommend numbing cream for all UltraClear treatments to improve comfort and overall experience, even though lighter settings are often well tolerated.
Deeper UltraClear resurfacing / Laser-Coring
Ideal for: more established wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation, skin laxity and texture changes
Feel: stronger treatment using numbing cream and cooling for comfort
Downtime: redness, swelling and peeling for up to 7–10 days depending on intensity
Results: progressive improvement over weeks to months as collagen remodels; often only a small number of sessions are needed
Combination treatments for better, customised results
UltraClear® is a modular platform, which means Dr Shasha can combine different modes (for example, deeper Laser-Coring™ in selected areas with a lighter 3DMIRACL™ pass over the full face) in a single session. This approach lets us target wrinkles, scars and laxity more aggressively where needed, while keeping overall downtime as manageable as possible for your lifestyle.
During your consultation, Dr Shasha will recommend the most appropriate level based on your skin, goals and how much downtime you can realistically take.
What to expect before, during and after UltraClear
Before your treatment
Comprehensive skin consultation with Dr Shasha
Medical history and medication review
Clinical photographs for planning and tracking
Pre-treatment skincare and sun-protection guidance
During your treatment
Your skin is cleansed and prepared.
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied for comfort, especially for deeper treatments. In some cases, you may be able to obtain this in advance and apply it at home, or arrive around an hour early so we can apply it for you in the clinic.
The UltraClear® handpiece is passed across the skin in sections.
Most patients describe the sensation as warmth with a mild stinging or “elastic band flick” feeling, which is brief and tolerable.
The laser time for a full face is around 20–30 minutes, but we allow up to an hour for each UltraClear appointment to accommodate different patient needs and make sure nothing feels rushed.
After your treatment
Downtime will depend on the level of treatment:
Lighter treatments: redness and a feeling similar to mild sunburn for a day or two; makeup can usually be worn after 24 hours, or once your skin is no longer significantly red, swollen or irritated, as individual healing times vary.
Deeper treatments: stronger redness, swelling and peeling over several days; you’ll be given specific instructions on cleansing, moisturising and sun protection to support healing.
You’ll start to see improvements in tone and texture within days, with ongoing collagen remodelling and smoothing over the following weeks to months.

Our Carbon Facial uses a medical-grade carbon lotion plus laser energy to deeply cleanse and refresh the skin. It can help to:
Deep-clean pores as the carbon absorbs oil and debris, then is activated by the laser
Reduce excess oil/sebum and improve acne-prone or congested skin
Gently exfoliate and lift away superficial dead skin cells
Visibly refine and minimise the appearance of pores
Improve overall skin texture and smoothness
Soften superficial pigmentation and dullness for a brighter complexion
Stimulate dermal collagen through a gentle photothermal effect
Give an immediate post-treatment “glow”
Improve redness and the appearance of superficial capillaries over time
Not sure where to start? At your consultation, Dr Shasha will examine your skin and talk through what you’d like to achieve so you can decide together which option – or combination – makes the most sense.

UltraClear® FAQs
UltraClear® is a newer type of fractional ablative laser that uses cold fibre technology. Compared with many traditional CO₂ resurfacing lasers, it is designed to deliver effective collagen stimulation with less heat in the skin. In practice, this can mean shorter downtime, less discomfort and a lower risk of pigment changes when used appropriately, while still helping to refresh and smooth the skin’s surface.
-
UltraClear® is suitable for many people noticing lines, sun damage, uneven tone, acne scarring or textural changes. A thorough consultation with Dr Shasha is essential to ensure the treatment is appropriate for your skin type, medical history and expectations.
-
-
Most patients find UltraClear® comfortable, especially when numbing cream is used for stronger treatments. Lighter sessions are usually described as a warm prickling feeling. Because UltraClear® is a “cold” fractional laser that uses less heat than many older technologies, reported discomfort scores are often lower than with traditional resurfacing lasers.
-
Some people are happy after a single deeper resurfacing treatment, while others prefer a series of lighter sessions. Your plan will depend on your concerns, how quickly you’d like to see results and how much downtime you can allow.
-
For lighter “lunchtime” treatments, expect mild redness for 1–2 days. Deeper treatments may involve several days of redness, swelling and peeling. You’ll be guided step-by-step on what to use on your skin and when it’s safe to return to normal activities and makeup.
-
-
Yes. Many patients combine UltraClear® with ongoing skincare, injectables or other laser treatments as part of a broader plan. Any combinations will be carefully timed to keep your skin safe.
-
Traditional fractional lasers – including many CO₂ and Er:YAG systems – rely mainly on heat to create narrow columns of thermal injury in the skin. UltraClear’s 2910 nm cold fibre laser creates clean micro-channels with a very thin “thermal halo”, allowing us to stimulate deeper dermal remodelling with less collateral heat. In practice, this can mean cleaner healing, less post-treatment inflammation and shorter social downtime when treatments are carefully tailored to your skin.

The Laser Doctor
Exact pricing will be confirmed at your consultation based on your skin, treatment level and areas treated.
UltraClear® is a highly customisable laser platform capable of addressing concerns ranging from gentle skin refinement to intensive resurfacing.
Because each treatment is individually tailored, pricing varies according to the treatment mode, the number of passes required, the overall complexity, and whether advanced techniques such as Laser‑Coring™ are incorporated. Costs also depend on the areas being treated—whether targeting the face alone or extending to the neck, décolletage, or additional regions.
As a general guide, superficial single‑pass treatments start from approximately A$1,000, while more advanced multi‑pass or coring‑enhanced protocols may range up to A$4,000 and above.
This flexible structure ensures every patient receives a personalised plan aligned with their skin goals and treatment needs.
You can also note:
A $100 booking deposit is required to secure your appointment and is fully redeemable on the day of treatment. A separate $100 consultation fee applies for your initial appointment with Dr Shasha.
